My best guess right off the bat is that you've previously filed some messages as "junk" that came from Pam and Andy (or faked their addresses in the From: line). That might cause a filter to assume that anything from those senders is junk, too. I use Mozilla Thunderbird for mail, and use its Message Filters capability to both sort and whitelist anything that arrives from a mailing list I'm on. In the case of BASFA-list this is easy, because the list server inserts a Reply-To: header in every message that no spammer is going to bother duplicating.
