Just a quick, last minute reminder that Westercon 60: Gnomeward Bound
will be hosting our kick-off barbecue on Saturday, July 29, 2006,
starting at about Noon and running until early evening.
This is an invitation to volunteer for Westercon 60. You'll have a
chance to meet the Division Managers, get a sneak preview of our
*new* hotel, the San Mateo Marriott, and apply for open positions on
the Westercon volunteer staff.
We'll be cooking hotdogs and hamburgers, and providing a variety of
sides and sodas. The temperature should be in the low 80s (in
contrast to last weekend when it hit 108), and if necessary, I'll
turn-on the misting system in the backyard to help keep us cool.
