Our place is not too wheelchair friendly. It's a split level house with seven steps up to the front door. The interior stairs are seven steps to each level. Bathrooms are up or down seven steps from the living room/dining room area. The dining room goes out to the outdoor deck. We can, however, open up the garage and bring someone into the family room that way. Or, the person concerned could come in the side gate and be by the pool on the pool deck. If we know someone is coming in a wheelchair, we can put a secondary food table in the family room or make sure that the person in the wheelchair gets fed. The half bath off the family room is rather small, and cannot take a wheelchair. However, from the bathroom door to the toilet is only a couple of steps. Until later-- Carole _______________________________________________ basfa mailing list [email protected] http://vesta.wallis.com/mailman/listinfo/basfa
