I like
the review...I think. Regarding the cover: it is not iffy; it downright stinks.
This is a classic example of a cover that has nothing to do with the story
-- an amateurish illustration of a dapper gorilla wearing a Panama hat for
a story about the plight unusual, genetically engineered creatures in which
the two protagonists are both female -- and that IMHO shows how important cover
art is in setting the stage for the story -- where this one fails
miserably.
Also,
I would like to know if Joni was guarantying that teens would read the book
because it deals with animal rights issues (it doesn't), or for some other
reason.
