Secretary’s report: the minutes of meeting 849 were accepted as ’Dave 
Gallaher will be on time in next week’s minutes, too’

We established a party jar

Treasurer’s report = we took in $28.29 in the regular jar & $14.25 in 
the party jar

VP report = [‘Chris for TAFF’] There should be a new ‘Drink Tank’ out 
today & a new SFinSf out Wednesday

The President welcomed familiar fannish faces

[various comments were made about last week’s displacement]

Announcements
Cheryl announced that there’s left-over Hallowe’en candy - and passed it 
around to great enthusiasm

Dave C announced that he has a copy of SF Weekly to pass around that has 
a review in it of YaoiCon

Ken announced that at 7pm, Friday, Nov 24 KTEH will show a documentary = 
‘Patrick Troutman in America’

Chris announced that he has ‘zines

John announced that the SF Browncoats will have a trademark seminar in 
the Alameda, at 3pm [? Didn’t get the day]

Reviews:
Harold reviewed Las Vegas traffic as ‘take a cab’ & Cirque de Soile as 
brilliant, good music, great sets - well worth full price

Chris commented about LJ going down [and the filk about it = ‘The Day 
the LJ Died’, which can be found = [EMAIL PROTECTED] & reviewed 
‘BBS the Documentary’ as really, really good, worth full price & 
reviewed ’24 Hours on Craig’s List’ as even better. Then later he stated 
that buying DVD at a supermarket is a bad idea & reviewed ‘Underworld’ 
as craptacular and hideously awful [that made him more stupid even when 
he fell asleep during it]

Ken comment that he’d been awake more than 24 hours and reviewed England 
as he found it sunny and bright; that economy air fares there as the 
seats are meant for tiny people, but cheap & he did many kinds of fun 
stuff in England and felt it well worth full price; then there were many 
follow-ons; Ken later reviewed ‘Stormbreaker’ [a juvenile spy flick] as 
mildly entertaining and fun

Cheryl reviewed Monday night football as the Raiders can hit the target 
when it’s the right target & that the Wallabies and All Blacks 
apparently cause sunny weather in England & reviewed FinnCon as a good 
time was had by all [500 science fiction fans and 5000 screaming anime 
fans]& mentioned that Cheryl will be a guest at FinnCon 2007 in July 14-15

Dave G reviewed Texas & a hotel full of rabid football fans as he didn’t 
take his life in his hands by trying to turn the TV station to catch the 
Cal game & he got a GREAT bag from World Fantasy Con & it was a good 
convention

Dave C reviewed ‘The Grudge 2’ as he learned he would never get that 
hour and a half of his life back again - worth wait for cable [‘and then 
change the channel?’ = Eric] & reviewed ‘Fear of the Dark’ by Walter 
Mosley ’ as an interesting mystery novel and worth full price & he 
announced ‘Eye of Argon’ is in print again - and they found the ending - 
and that Cargo Cult will carry it

Fred reviewed ‘Variable Star’ by Spider Robinson from a Heinlein outline 
as not bad & worth paperback [but he bought it as hardback]

John reviewed Blue Man Group as hard to describe but great

Trey reviewed the current comic on VH Cats website as the best ever 
Hallowe’en web-comic

We auctioned off stuff - books for $5.00, $0.25, $0.25, $2.50, $0.25, 
$2.00, $0.50, $0.50, 2 videos for $5.25, & routers for $0.25, $0.50 & 
$0.50; then we birthday auctioned off both O’Halloran’s as a set for $10.25

We adjourned at = 9:55 pm

And the rumor of the week was = ‘that Frank Wu’s shoes need LEDs and 
death rays’
