Announcements
Julie announced she started a new job last month - wiring pipe organs

FC 2008

actually works

Reviews:
Garth reviewed a bluegrass song, ‘Pray to the Lord when you see Them
Flying Saucers’ as it really sticks in his mind

Chris reviewed the perfect film, ‘Tenacious D and the Pick of Destiny’
as a film that made him and his folks laugh SO much - absolutely perfect
and worth full price, plus dealing with Riverside County & reviewed
Loscon as it turned out to be a fun convention & helped raise $200 for
the TAFF auction & he had a panel where the panelists outnumbered the
audience 5 to 1 & the best party was Eric in the elevator - big thumbs
up & the best beard in fandom is owned by Scratch

Cheryl reviewed the fungi festival at the SF ferry building as the
mushroom cheesecake was well worth the price & Kevin follow-on’s that it
tasted like maple syrup; then Cheryl reviewed the best thing on TV ever
as the Ashes series - the pinnacle of cricket - direct from Australia

Andy reviewed last week’s Torchwood as ‘great mother of God!’ & they’ve
definitely hit pace, as absolutely brilliant and this week’s episode was
back to lesbian-alien science fiction & very good; then reviewed ‘Dr Who
a Celebration’ was a nearly 2-hour concert of Dr Who music & absolutely
brilliant

Julie reviewed ‘Casino Royale’ as well worth matinee & reviewed the
Titanic exhibit as worth the $17.50 for saying she rode BART & she
enjoyed seeing the artifacts in person & reviewed ‘Ragtime West’ as
pricey for a 1-day [$45] and the Red Lion it was held in was kind of
seedy and small, but that the musical programming was well worth what
she paid and ‘almost fannish’. Harold follow-on’d that the ‘Casino
Royale’ black and white section was pretentious & it used real stunt
people & was worth full price

[tall] Kevin reviewed his Thanksgiving travels as the train was not
overloaded this year and it was THE way to travel on Wednesday &
reviewed 2 days spent at the Railroad Park Hotel in Dunsmere as well
worth full price, even with the frustrations

We auctioned off books for $0.25, $0.25, $0.25, $0.25, $0.25, $0.25 &
then ‘Vampirates’ for $10.00

We adjourned at = 9:12 pm

And the rumor of the week was = ‘the stupid, it hurts!‘
