BASFA members voted at last night's meeting to hold the May 28th meeting at the San Mateo Marriott, site of this year's BayCon. You don't need to be a member of BayCon to attend the meeting; besides, at 8 PM, BayCon will be over except for the Dead Dog Party.
Our plan is to meet in what the hotel (which recently renamed all of its meeting rooms) now officially calls the Convene Foyer (although their map <http://www.sanmateomarriott.com/meeting_floor.php> still has the older name, Golden Gate Foyer), which is the pre-function space on the second floor outside their ballroom. This will be the Fan Tables area during BayCon. We'll either hold the meeting there or find another space in the general area where we can meet. We informed the management of the Hick'ry Pit Restaurant that we do not plan to be there next Monday, but will return the following Monday, June 4.
