That's good news. I know you probably already covered this, but do they understand that some of us will not be badged Westercon members?
Thanks

Subject: [basfa] BASFA meeting at Westercon

I've been informed by Westercon 60 Programming (through James Stanley
Daugherty) that BASFA can have a function room on the Monday night of
Westercon (July 2) at 8 PM for the purpose of holding a BASFA meeting.
This solves the issue of "If we hold our July 2 meeting at Westercon,
where do we meet?"

I intend to formally propose at next Monday's meeting that we schedule
our July 2 meeting for the San Mateo Marriott at a location to be
announced in the Westercon program schedule at 8 PM that evening.

Because July 2 is not the last day of Westercon (the convention runs
through July 3 and the con is encouraging people to stay through that
night and treat July 4 as an extended dead-dog (dead-gnome?) party), I
assume that holding the meeting at the usual 8 PM time is not a
hardship. Is this correct?

(In my own case, the only conflict is that I may be hosting a party that
evening. I wouldn't mind the meeting starting an hour earlier, but if
that's what we want to do we'll need to let Westercon programming know
quickly so they can get it into the schedule.)

Kevin
