"Business = Chris began by mentioning that the Hickory Pit will start
closing at 9pm starting on July 1 & a new site selection committee was
established chaired by Dave G"

Is it actually July 1? Jeanne wasn't sure of the date, just that it is
sometime in July.

Dave

Reviews:
Julie reviewed the latest Dr Who episode as 'Wow! Bang!' and Andy
follow-on'd that Derek Jakoby chews scenery marvellously & totally worth
stealing twice; plus Dave G reviewed 'Blink' as it frightened a small
child; then Julie reviewed the Vallejo Pirate Festival as she worked it,
it drew at least 10,000. the food was really good - everyone was there -
there was wonderful feedback, packed with people in costumes & a major
success; Howeird follow-on'd that it was a Ren Faire for pirates & he
got the t-shirt and took pictures & then Frank made a pun that made
everyone groan

Andy reviewed an optical slave camera accessory as definitely worth it

Chris reviewed fanzines as absolutely wonderful and that they can be
found on efanzine.com

Dave C reviewed robot wars as 'it's back' - full of small robots to big
robots that hurt the surroundings - some with flame throwers - and that
it was well worth full price; then he reviewed 'Oceans 13' as it
suffered from mission creep & worth matinee; then Chris follow-on'd that
he enjoyed it and thought it was a lot of fun

Harold reviewed 3 days of tax seminars in Las Vegas as sparking his
annual tirade & said the weather was 110 degrees[!] & it was a 'dry
hell' - he also reviewed 'Fantastic 4' as not worth full price, stupid
and hokey; then Adrienne follow-on'd that she thought it was worth
bargain matinee & was enjoyable & Chris says that Evelyn liked it &
Frank was completely disappointed

[evil] Kevin reviewed the Star Wars special edition of Robot Chicken as
possibly being the best piece of TV ever done

We adjourned at = 9:50

And the rumor of the week was that = ‘Guidolon tastes practically like
chicken'
