*Reviews*:
Adrienne reviewed South Dakota as a definite experience with a small
town feel, interesting hotel, the fireworks near Mt. Rushmore were
incredible and it was an interesting trip
Chris reviewed the 7-11 to Kwikimart conversion in the shop across from
where he works [the Computer History Museum[ as wonderfully themed,
awesome and worth every dime he's spent there [there were comments];
then he reviewed Westercon as it's over and nobody died - it was a
brilliant time & the fan lounge was high on lounge and fans but light on
fanzines; and there were follow-on's [selections =] Dave C thought the
fanzine lounge was a fun place to go and he was trapped again in the
Dealer's swamp; Andy said he kind of remembered Westercon [laughter] -
the parties sounded like fun and most went until 4am - Joe said
something about soup; [evil] Kevin mentioned grilled toast; Spring said
the Mark Ferrari party was cool & the baseball outing went well
Julie reviewed the latest Harry Potter movie as rather good & worth the
midnite showing to 'get it over with' & reviewed the Dr Who season
finale as darkly satisfying, with Andy following with 'Holy mother of
hell steal that bastard now!'
Dave C reviewed 'Show Business' a documentary, as fun & worth full
price, then proto-reviewed 'Xanadu the Musical' as he read it may be too
gay for Broadway
Andy reviewed 'Dr Who the Infinite Quest' - which is part of a kid's
show in Britain as a bit too kidded down, but enjoyable & also worth
stealing
Fred reviewed the Heinlein convention in Kansas City as warm, they did a
lot of work, it was lots of fun and worth every penny
I reviewed 'The Transformers Movie' as surprisingly good, much better
than I anticipated & worth seeing twice; Trey follow-on'd that he was
pleased it wasn't really bad and thought it worth matinee
*Then we auctioned off Simpson cookies & a Squishie cup for $10.00*
*We adjourned at =* 9:50
*And the rumor of the week was* that = 'Westercon 2011 will be held at
[tall] Kevin's house'
