LET'S MAKE BEER!

Come down to TechShop in Menlo Park and geek out over the Art and Science of everyone's favorite beverage, beer. Learn the "How" and the "Why" of making great beer in this one-day event for TechShop members and their guests.

We'll kick the event off with a basic beer brewing demo at 10:00 AM, then we'll roll into a more advanced demo (all-grain brewing) after that. We also plan to demonstrate making some beer-related gear (we're going to try to roll a fermenter and mill a jockey box).

Between 12:00 noon and 1:00 PM, join us in the backyard for chicken apple sausages from the grill, and whatever wonderful pot luck dishes you have brought to share. Bring your favorite beers, and Ryan (TechShop's resident beer expert) will tell you why you like it, and what other similar beers you should try.

This is a FREE event! Please bring your friends and guests...a "hoppy time" is sure to be had by all!

Phil Montalbano, Store Manager of MORE BEER Brewing Supply in Los Altos, California, has agreed to give anyone brewing the day of our event a 10% discount on all purchases, when placing your order please make sure to mention that it's for the TechShop Make Beer event. Phil will bundle all the orders together and TechShop will pick them up as a service to attendees. You can contact MORE BEER at (650) 949-BREW, or visit their web site at http://www.morebeer.com

If you wish to brew on site (with your own gear) the day of the event, you are more than welcome to do so. Please let us know in advance via e-mail by contacting Robert (robert AT techshop.ws) or Ryan (ryan AT techshop.ws).
