Trey Haddad, President Chris Garcia, Vice-President Dave Gallaher, Treasurer Galen Tripp, Sargeant at Arms Barbara Johnson-Haddad, Secretary Began at 8pm 26 people attended a party jar was established [and 2 other motions failed] And a motion passed to have Chris mark his ear Secretary’s report: the minutes of meeting 971 were accepted as 'a lot of cute anecdotes, worth full price' Treasurer report = last week we took in $22.59 in the regular jar and $ 16.35 in the party jar the Vice president reported that there is a new 'Drink Tank' out - a new SFinSF is out and 3 times a ninja The President had nothing fannish to report The Party Committee reported we have rooms for Baycon and Furcon and probably have one for Silicon We said 'hi' to Kate Kligman, visiting us for the very first time Announcements: Dave C announced that Neil Gaiman will be on the Colbert report tonight & that 'Lesbian Vampire Killers' is opening in England Linda announced that this Saturday is the Chocolate Salon in Fort Mason & there is a costume exhibit in LA until the end of March put on by the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising Chris announced the Corflu fan award winners and that the big winners were Jean Martin and Cat Templeton who tied Lisa announced that Lady Colleen is out of the hospital and into a nursing home [White Blossom] for a week or two - so call her or visit to help her stave off boredom [evil] Kevin announced that this weekend is the SJ Imperial Court Coronation at the Scottish Rite Temple - Friday is the out of town show; Saturday is the Coronation ball & Sunday is the brunch Ken announced that the Bay area Bob Wilkins memorial is 1-4pm this Saturday, held at Auctions by the Bay Ed announced that the SJ Astronomical society will have their annual sale on April 5 in Hougue Park Reviews: Glenn reviewed the CDs of 'Anathem' as time well spent Chris reviewed Corflu as a lot of fun and it was at a great hotel for 100 people & he loves Greek food, worth full price Ed reviewed Weber's 'Storm from the Shadows' as a book that is giving him sleep deprivation and is very enjoyable [evil] Kevin reviewed cleaning the living room as something done once every 6 years and the baker's shelf is now both a bar and a shoe caddy Ken reviewed 'Watchmen' as great fun and 'Gerry was mesmerized' - she commented that 'it did not detract from my enjoyment' - and Ken reviewed that after a year of being married that 'taxes suck' Carole reviewed Consonance weekend as she got to show visiting Brits Big Basin and them redwoods is big, plus she had her appendix out this morning [and she looked -great-!]; Bill follow-on'd that the Ambulatory surgery center had free wi-fi - and Steve Savitsky is a member in 2 bands and both are covered with awesome sauce - plus Howeird has a lovely voice Bill reviewed 'Escape from Hell' by Niven and Pournelle as definitely worth full price if you enjoyed the original we did auctions early: a magazine for $0.25 & $0.25, a coffee urn and doily for $0.50; CDs for $1.00, a book for $1.00, videos for $0.25, $0.25, books for $0.50, a box of rolly eyeballs for $0.25; cards foe $0.25, a cassette and snowman for $0.25 & a brass unicorn $3.00 We adjourned at = 9:18 And the rumor of the week was: 'meat is murder, tasty, tasty murder' -- ******************* She/whispered/'Oh/my/goodness/what/are/all/these/squirrels/doing/here?'
