Trey Haddad, President Chris Garcia, Vice-President Dave Gallaher, Treasurer Galen Tripp, Sargeant at Arms Barbara Johnson-Haddad, Secretary held at Coco's, 1206 Oakmead Parkway (Lawrence Expressway/101 fwy), Sunnyvale Began 8:00 21 people attended a party jar was established Secretary’s report: we accepted the minutes of meeting 979 as 'adequate" the Treasurer was a bit late the Vice president says there's a new 'Drink Tank' out now [Ken commented = "Shock, horror'] - and that might be all The President had nothing fannish to report Announcements: Ken announced that the century 25 cinema has closed Adrienne announced that she still needs a roommate for Anticipation Mike announced that he has free baseball tickets for the SJ Giants games on May 20 and May 21 Reviews: Fred reviewed the SJ Art Museum's Andy Warhol exhibit as really great and he recommends it Glenn reviewed American Express as having wonderful customer service - worth full price - Trey follow-on'd that he likes AmEx because it's the only credit cards he's had that let him charge a car on it and worth having - then Glenn reviewed 'Meow' as being out and mimeo'd and really neat Dave C reviewed seeing an 'original show; Star Trek episode and that adding CGI to it doesn't really help Chris reviewed the Eaton conference in Riverside as well worth the drive there, reviewed his digestive system as strong - and it triumphed over the undercooked sausage that tried to keeeeel him; saw 'Twilight' twice with Evelyn & found the ulti-meat pizza at Round Table as awesome and his entire weekend as worth full price Adrienne reviewed the ST tie-in stuff at Burger 'thing' as they have the worst food ever Stellen reviewed getting a kidney stone removed as he's feeling much better now - but all the food he likes is bad for him I reviewed 'Xmen/Wolverine' as really nice eye candy when Hugh Jackman is on screen, but pretty unwatchable when he wasn't on-screen, worth matinee [tall] Kevin reviewed Oregon as rainy and the joys of land ownership is over-stated Andy reviewed CostumeCon in Baltimore as the con went mostly smoothly and was delightful and generally worth full price Then we reviewed the new 'Star Trek' movie ... a lot ... and most folks liked it tons [and we managed to not divulge spoilers] we did auctions: a mimeo'd Meow zine for $6.00, magazines for $0.50, $0.25 & $0.25, a bottle for $0.25; books for $1.25 & $0.50, & books and magazines for $0.50 We adjourned at = 9:45 And the rumor of the week was: 'You Klingon sons, you killed my bastard' -- ******************* She/whispered/'Oh/my/goodness/what/are/all/these/squirrels/doing/here?'
