Secretary’s report: we accepted the minutes of meeting 979 as 'adequate"

the Treasurer was a bit late

the Vice president says there's a new 'Drink Tank' out now [Ken commented =
"Shock, horror'] - and that might be all

The President had nothing fannish to report

Announcements:
Ken announced that the century 25 cinema has closed

Adrienne announced that she still needs a roommate for Anticipation

Mike announced that he has free baseball tickets for the SJ Giants games on
May 20 and May 21

Reviews:
Fred reviewed the SJ Art Museum's Andy Warhol exhibit as really great and he
recommends it

Glenn reviewed American Express as having wonderful customer service - worth
full price - Trey follow-on'd that he likes AmEx because it's the only
credit cards he's had that let him charge a car on it and worth having -
then Glenn reviewed 'Meow' as being out and mimeo'd and really neat

Dave C reviewed seeing an 'original show; Star Trek episode and that adding
CGI to it doesn't really help

Chris reviewed the Eaton conference in Riverside as well worth the drive
there, reviewed his digestive system as strong - and it triumphed over the
undercooked sausage that tried to keeeeel him; saw 'Twilight' twice with
Evelyn & found the ulti-meat pizza at Round Table as awesome and his entire
weekend as worth full price

Adrienne reviewed the ST tie-in stuff at Burger 'thing' as they have the
worst food ever

Stellen reviewed getting a kidney stone removed as he's feeling much better
now - but all the food he likes is bad for him

I reviewed 'Xmen/Wolverine' as really nice eye candy when Hugh Jackman is on
screen, but pretty unwatchable when he wasn't on-screen, worth matinee

[tall] Kevin reviewed Oregon as rainy and the joys of land ownership is
over-stated

Andy reviewed CostumeCon in Baltimore as the con went mostly smoothly and
was delightful and generally worth full price

Then we reviewed the new 'Star Trek' movie ... a lot ... and most folks
liked it tons [and we managed to not divulge spoilers]

we did auctions: a mimeo'd Meow zine for $6.00, magazines for $0.50, $0.25
& $0.25, a bottle for $0.25; books for $1.25 & $0.50, & books and magazines
for $0.50

We adjourned at = 9:45

And the rumor of the week was: 'You Klingon sons, you killed my bastard'
