I vaguely remember someone saying that BASFA formed in 1989. If that's the case, we just be celebrating our 1000th meeting, but our 20th anniversary too.

Thus, I've been named Lord High Chairman of the Millenium Bug committee. And I need you! So, next week, I'd like to bring to the meeting a few possibilities for what we could do. Here's a couple of thoughts- 1) a party on the night of September 28th, 2009 somewhere other than Coco's. This could well be the home of a member if anyone has one large enough for a bunch of fans. Alternately, we could choose another date (perhaps the weekend before), name it meeting 1000 and celebrate it then. 2) We could simply have a regular meeting and make it aomehow more awesome. 3) We could hold meeting 1000 regular-style and have a special celebration at Silicon (which I believe was the site of BASFA meeting number 0) and make that all special. 4) something YOU think of!
