Correction: the criticism of the books I mentioned was reversed. San Francisco
Ghosts, by Mark Lyon, had rather unpolished writing and I found Haunted
Baseball, by Mickey Bradley and Dan Gordon, lots of fun and well researched.

The Hostellierie Pierre du Calvet in Montréal was an upscale B&B and absolute
awesome.  I recommend it to anyone who's planning to go there.  Expensive, but
definitely good value.  It was especially appreciated after the purgatory of La
Tour.

Subject: [Basfa] BASFA minutes for Aug 24

Adrienne reviewed books = 'Haunted Baseball' as the writing was iffy but
fascinating; 'San Francisco Ghosts' by Mark Lyon as interesting and the hotel
she stayed at in Montreal -after- the Purgatory hotel as being wonderful, this
hotel, the 'Pierre du Calvert AD 1725' was marvelous and worth staying there
