Secretary’s report: the minutes of meeting 1015 were accepted as 'nom nom
nom'

the Treasurer reported last week we took in $3.75 in the regular jar and
$18.54 in the party jat

the Vice President reported that there is a new 'Drink Tank' out [shock,
horror] - and there'll be a new 'Journey Planet' out soon and he needs
content for the 'Journey Planet' after that about London

The President was in Colorado


The Party Committee stated there will be a BASFA part at FurCon at the
Fairmont Hotel


Announcements:
Lisa announced that her son-in-law is looking for work in Q/A and IT - so if
you have any suggestions for work contact her at [email protected] &
she announced that she needs help with the Westercon fan table at FurCon
this weekend

Ken announced that the Legion of Rasselon will have a meeting this Friday
night at the usual place, 1st and Trimble at the Carl's

Ed announced that Furcon is this week & Dave G announced that a Creation Con
is also this weekend in SF that Spring will be at

Adrienne announced there's a book signing sponsored by the Bay Area Ghost
Hunters at the British Bankers Club on Saturday at 1pm

Davc C announced that the North American Discoworld convention is taking
bids for 2011

Chris announced that there's wrestling in Pasedena this weekend

Joshua announced that FoodCon is looking for other cons Green Rooms to help
him spread news about FoodCon - contact him at [email protected]

Reviews:
Chris reviewed 'Game Show Explosion!' as it was like watching 'Match game'
with Chris doing all the parts - worth less than full price - but still a
lot of fun

Sarah reviewed 'Daybreakers' as worth full price and being sleepy the next
day & reviewed the Fancy Food Show as worth full price and the 4 1/2 mile of
walking in it

Adrienne reviewed 'Young Victoria' as beautiful, she liked it & worth full
price - and Lisa follow-on'd that the costuming was incredible; then
Adrienne reviewed 'the Counter' - as make it yourself burger place as nice &
reviewed an unnamed Nora Roberts book as well-written and enjoyable

Ed reviewed 'The Two Space War' as it glorifies war and was a fun read

Rick reviewed 'The Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus' as nicely done and scenic
and actually had an ending - Hugo worthy - and worth full price

Harold reviewed 'Crazy heart' as Jeff Bridges was brilliant and the film was
pretty good & worth full price, then asked - in regards to NHL hockey -
'since when is it legal to sit on a goalie?' - he also commented that he'd
seen that BASFA has a wiki page

Chris reviewed the King Tut exhibit as kind of disappointing - since none of
the really awesome stuff toured - and worth $22.50 he paid for it


we did auctions:   we birthday auctioned off Kirsten for $7.00 to Chris; &
we auctioned off books for $1.00, $0.25, $1.00, $0.25;  Star Trek ornaments
for $1.00;  a magazine for $0.25 & some other thing for $0.25

We adjourned at = 9:31

And the rumor of the week was: 'for whom the taco Bell tolls'
