Sure, but do it quick. Barely a day left to the nomination process.

Glenn,
With only a couple days left before the deadline, I'm reaching out to a few people who I believe will be receptive to (or at least not put off by) a last minute pitch to consider a short story for a Hugo nomination.
The story is entitled "The Moment." It was the anchor story in the anthology
FOOTPRINTS from Hadley Rille Books, a themed collection to honor the 40th anniversary of
the humans landing on the moon. Because HRB is a small press, the odds are good that you
never saw the book, much less my story (unless you read it as part of your Nebula
considerations). I have an obvious fondness for Small Press, both as an author and as a
publisher, and I'm on record for my belief that quality works from such venues rarely
gets the exposure (or the awards) they're due.
Naturally, I think highly of my own fiction in general, and "The Moment" in particular. I set out to write an old-fashioned, sense o' wonder story, in part because I thought the anniversary of the moon landing deserved it, and in part because I believe we need more stories that recapture that feeling.
As it's Hugo time, I've made it available for you to read on my website (http://www.lawrencemschoen.com/k/spumoni). My unabashed, self-promoting hope is that you'll take some time to read it, and maybe give it a nod on your nominating ballot.
And even if you don't, thanks for taking the time to read it.
Regards,
Lawrence
