Somewhere in my memory I seem to recall KFJC having presented a screening of
Metropolis with the Club Foot Orchestra performing the score live. The Varsity
Theater seems a part of that somehow. Whatever. This item just popped up on
the KFJC staff list:
on Friday, May 20, at 8pm, former Montalvo artist-in-residence Richard
Marriott returns with the Club Foot Orchestra to perform new compositions to
accompany Fritz Lang's classic silent film, Metropolis (1926). The film will
be
projected outdoors in the Lilian Fontaine Garden Theatre while the group
performs their original music on stage.
Tickets are $15 for Members or $20 for non-Members. To purchase tickets, call
the Box Office at 408-961-5858 Monday-Friday 10am-4pm.
