OK, you know the drill. A bunch of television programmes got cancelled, and now they're soon to crank out some new ones with or without clue. Or scripts. Here are new genre offerings, just in case any of them are good:
o Minority Report, Fox. Starts Monday, Sept. 21, 8 pm. Set ten years after the flick. o Blindspot, NBC. Starts Monday, Sept. 21, 10 pm. Protag played by Jaimie Alexander mysteriously shows up in Times Square with no memory wearing nothing but some cool tattoos. (Where John Doe has gone before?) Asgardian angles seem unlikely, but maybe some good scripts can be arranged to fall from the Rainbow Bridge. o Limitless, CBS. Starts Tuesday, Sept. 22, 10 pm. Some network suit who saw 'Lucy', didn't understand it to be a bad film, and doen't know how to spell Snopes has cast Jake McDorman as a man who at thematically convenient intervals takes a pill that lets him use 100% of his brain. He fights crime. o Heroes Reborn, NBC. Starts Thursday, Sept. 24, 8 pm. Same writer, same universe, five years later, new cast with lower salary demands. o Supergirl, CBS. Starts Monday, Oct. 26, 8:30 pm. Melissa Benoist plays a troubled illegal immigrant. o Ash Vs. Evil Dead, Starz. Starts Saturday, Oct. 31, 9 pm. Name's Ash. Housewares. (There is much room for awesomeness here.) o The Muppets yet lives! NBC. Starts Tuesday, Sept. 22, 8 pm. Be there or be mocked by Waldorf and Statler. o The Man the High Castle, Amazon. Starts Friday, Nov. 20. Pray that they don't screw it up. o Marvel's Jessica Jones, Netflix. Starts Friday, Nov. 20. Former superhero rebuilding her life in NYC still can't get a good table in restaurants or a decent rent-controlled apartment. Other stuff, briefly noted: Alas, CBS's 'Code Black' is NOT a spinoff of Orphan Black. I really don't have to say anything about CBS's Angel from Hell, do I? OK, good. The CW is helping Bradbury-fervent-admirer Rachel Bloom pay the rent via a musical comedy(?!) called Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. _______________________________________________ Basfa mailing list [email protected] http://lists.basfa.org/listinfo.cgi/basfa-basfa.org
