Began 8-ish pm with decent food this time 27 people attended we established a party jar The minutes of meeting 1341 were accepted as 'bonus tracks' The Treasurer reported that last week we took in $0.50 in the regular jar & $61.50 in the party jar The Vice President had nothing fannish to report The President had nothing fannish to report The Sports Committee reported that there are no tickets remaining for the Giants/Rockies game on Friday, May 6. BASFA seats are in the view reserve [section 317]. PLUS Ken has tickets ON HIM RIGHT NOW for the Saturday, 5pm, May 14, SJ Giants Star Wars night game in the Martinelli Plaza for $49 each & .. and this includes food, 2 alcoholic beverages & programs The Site Selection committee is conducting a vote for our semi-permanent site. Calaveras Blvd, Milpitas Announcements: Ken announced that this Friday is the Legion of Rasselon meeting at the usual place & time JC announced that there will be a podcasting at Kepler's books on Wednesday & that there will be a new Nerdvana Podcast out this Wednesday Reviews: Gayle reviewed the SF ballet as lots of fun [tall] Kevin reviewed his trip to Canada as he had a longish wait for connecting flights, but the transport services work well in Canada and the hotel suite was large & nifty JC reviewed 'Pixels' free On Demand as okay, not spectacular with some fun bits & worth free & then reviewed using the BB-8 toy with the ipad app will watching 'Force Awakens' as recommended Dave C reviewed the Puppini Sisters music group as singing a broad range of style & worth full price Fred reviewed the Annie Liebowitz photo exhibit as there was some great stuff there & reviewed the SFinSF meeting as good Adrienne reviewed the 110 anniversary of the SF quake as happening today & reviewed doing auctions on EBay as you have to work to make money with them Chris O reviewed the taiko festival as it was hot but still nice Lisa reviewed the Retrodome showing of 'Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory' as fun Patty reviewed Solvange as lots of good wineries and the ostrich/emu place was worth full price to visit We did auctions we adjourned at 9:12 pm the rumor of the week was: 'Bite me, monkey boy' -- ******************* She/whispered/'Oh/my/goodness/what/are/all/these/squirrels/doing/here?'
