Reviews
JC:
Hidden Figures. Even better than anticipated.
Also rewatched Rogue One, keeps getting better.
After Beth's accident a couple weeks ago, they have a a replacement car: 2014
Fiat 500L (9K miles). No pressure at the DGDG dealership.
Adrienne:
Finally saw Rogue One. Impressed with strong woman characters in universe.
Enjoyed it. Better than 1-3 & 6. CG characters were a little off.
Binge watching Jeeves & Wooster. Delightful series with Fry & Laurie. Chris O
also recommends Woodhouse Playhouse.
JohnO:
Book: Collection of Short Stories edited by Daniel H Wilson & John Joseph Adams
all video game based, Press Start to Play.
Book: fairly new, but fairly old stories - Miniatures by John Scalzi. Not all 5
star material, very short easy crapper read. Cargo Cult has it in the rare
HardCover.
Book: Classic reread in Pine for the Stars by Heinlein. Rereading as a adult,
bit stilted. Gerald comments that the science was wrong in it.
TV: Finally watched the first episode of Victoria (PBS) with Jenna Coleman.
Gerold followed on about the historical inaccuracies.
We adjourned at 20:48
The rumor of the the week is: Next weeks minutes will be replaced with MadLibs.
