I hope it's an amount worth the hassle, and that you don't have too much
to pay in legal fees.

Good to know. My late parents let some of their business slide into escheatment
and I was not aware of the national registry. It's best to not to die before
claiming it as it's going to be hassle to claim it now; it's going to require
legal documents for me to do it.

Sorry to bother you, but this is something I
sincerely thought everyone
would want to know about.
I knew I sometimes misplaced things,
but I thought I kept pretty good
track of my money. Today I found a
tip in AARP Magazine. I went to
unclaimed.org (the National
Association of Unclaimed Property
Administrators) and filled out a short
form; in well under 10 minutes had
found two checks totaling about $150
that I didn't remember anything
about. It might be a little more
annoying if you need to look under
multiple names or in multiple states,
or if you have a common name.
Good luck! Let people know.
As you were.
