Reviews
Fred
Was in Southfield, MI, at Penguicon. Opensource and SF/Gaming mashup. Loads of
fun. Hotel and con like eachother (room keys were con branded!) 1456 people.
Consuite was outstanding (esp for con of this size) Not as much literary, but
plenty of gaming and maker and opensource computing. Reccommend.

May the 4th baseball game was lots of fun looking forwar to next one.
Gerald: Interesting game. First seven innings a disaster. San Jose loaded the
bases in the 8th got a run in, but the remainder were thwarted by a caught fly.
John: In training to learn the art of the Giants torture.
The Theory of Everything: The Quest to Explain Everything lecture series. Not a
casual listen, great audio series.

The Inexplicable Universe narr by Neil Degrasee–Tyson. Touches on a lot of

Andrew:
(Liked Avengers, but that’s not his review) If you like historical Fantasy
drama, NetFlix has co-funding, and just dropped the trailer for an Arabic high
school drama Jin. Had watched their Korean series Kingdom - medieval horror.
Beautifully shot. Pretty untill it gets murdur-y (then it pretyy and mrdery).
If you can stomach some horror...
eKevin: So many silly hats
Gerald: The Admiral Raging Waters - see it. Straight history.
Ken
He and Jerry went to Flower Drum Song this past Thursday. This is the recent
revival version that was rewritten by a Chinese-American writer–though they
couldn’t change any of the songs. A more authentic immigrant story. Full Asian
cast, and 90% Asian creative team–including music director, choreographer and
director (who put in some of her family history in the prologue!) Final run
this Thursday through Sunday.
There was an auction.
Meeting adjourned at: 20:39 and the rumor was: Let the wookie win.
