REVIEWS:

The secretary reviewed the new Nick Cage movie 'The Unbearable Weight of
Massive Talent' as there were a couple cringe-y bits that were necessary
for the film - but it was a very entertainingly odd movie that was worth
full price. Pedro Pascal was adorable opposite Nick Cage. Trey agreed
with this review

Rick reviewed 'Star Trek: Strange New Worlds' on Paramount Plus - as
everyone in it is excellent & he highly recommends it. He is satisfied
with the writing & has high hopes; Yochanan also loved it & thinks it has
great potential; Ken admits to having cried with happiness while watching
this; Lisa comments that the intro has 'where no one has gone before'.

Craig reviewed a show that came out in 2006, 'Hyperdrive', as a low-brow
BBC-comedy sort of thing & a fun 12 episode romp

Yochanan reviewed a book of short stories, 'Dr. Who: Journey Through Time'
as not exactly a graphic novel, that the illustrations vary & the stories
aren't that great. It was published in 1985 & was fun, he guesses; Ken
followed that he thinks they are reprints of the annuals
he also reviewed the Marvel series on Disney Plus, 'Moon Knight', as
the final episode was weird and inconclusive - but make sure to see the
cookie at the end of the show & he rates the whole series at a solid B-plus
& was very pleased with the acting. Rick followed as he gives Oscar Isaac
high marks for his acting and considers it to be a keeper that will reward
re-watching
he also reviewed the concluding episode for 'Star Trek Picard' as it
wasn't that bad & ended on a more hopeful note. He thinks the end episode
almost made the season worth watching

Howeird reviewed the water for Las Vegas as Lake Mead is at record low
levels and that they are beginning to find bodies in it, 2 so far & they
are expecting to find more
and he reviewed this weekend's weather - as there was a sand storm,
with gusts up to 70 MPH. He did not lose power, but there was a lot of
pixelation of his TV signal - which provoked some amusing comments

Kennita reviewed the new 'Dr. Strange' movie as the 3D wasn't as well used
as the prior movie, but it was still visually exciting, even though the
plot was fairly disjointed. She rates it as still worth watching and worth
full price.

we adjourned at 8:32 pm

and the rumor of the week was = 'The proposed new Star Wars byline will be
“Where Obi Wan Has Gone Before”.'
