Ken,
I can't do it tonight, as it turns out.  I have to pick up Candy at the airport
on her way back from New England.  Holder's sounds good to me.
Giovanni's New York Pizzaeria on Lawerence is still there and still closes at
9, but has that big second room and an excellent non-pizza menu.  We might want
to consider starting at 7: 30--for a lot of folks, that would be as convenient
as starting at 8 with the extra 30 minutes drive as we are now.

Best, Gerald

For those of you who have not attended recent meetings, our current location
(Parktown Pizza) lost 25% of their space last month, which included our little
semi-protected area (and very wide table). This has led to the reactivation of
the Relocation Committee, as the smaller space may not be as beneficial when
there are other groups (or even sports events). Plus, I have heard some
grumblings about the narrowness of the menu.
With that in mind, I drove around to a few potential locations in the South
Bay. Feel free to reply to the list with your preferences of the three viable
locations – or, if you are on FaceBook, register your choices in the poll there…

Denny’s1140 Hillsdale Ave (at Almaden Expressway) San
Josehttps://maps.app.goo.gl/DHAGRoR37ZGQ1BMv8
Open 24/7. Private room with projector and screen. WiFi.
While there is a $200 minimum (which we should easily cover most weeks) the
manager doesn’t seem too bothered, as he has a monthly group of five (which
he’ll move out for us) who don't regularly meet the minimum.
It’s an odd location (see map link above). You can only get to it from east
bound Hillsdale or south bound Almaden, and exiting you can only continue on
those routes. Medium sized parking lot.
My only real negative about this is for us Legion of Rassilon folk, we’d have
Denny’s five to six times a month! ;-) Despite that, this is actually my
primary pick, as dedicated meeting rooms are far and few between…

Bossman’s Pizza418 W Capitol Exp (at Vista Park)San
Josehttps://maps.app.goo.gl/fRbpD46cpDN5CSCP6
Keith and Rani suggested this location, but they would want us out by 8:45 p.m.
– so it’s not going to work for us. Pity. It’s another Indian-Pizza, but with a
more diverse menu (plus there’s a new Supercharger in the parking lot!)

Holder's Country Inn10088 N Wolfe Rd (at Valco
Parkway)Cupertinohttps://maps.app.goo.gl/s1F5fo8BQxb3GMVBA
This one had been suggested by Adrienne a while back.
Open until 10 p.m. WiFi. Full Bar. No private room, but not busy on Monday
evenings – plus they can add room dividers if we wish.
There's a parking lot under the building, plus the remaining Valco multi-story
lot is across the street. Location may be a little more central to our members.

International House of Pancakes1012 Miller Ave (at Bolliger)San
Josehttps://maps.app.goo.gl/AoFGZ4mxaQyHYWv29
Open until 10 p.m. WiFi. Dead on Mondays (and no TVs, so no sports crowds).
There are two seating wings, either side of the entrance, so we could
reasonably be kept apart from the hoi polloi...
May have a minimum of $300, but we may be able to negotiate.
Part of a fair sized shopping plaza, with ample parking (and a Safeway for your
post meeting grocery shopping needs!) though it’s a little more tucked into the
suburbs, as it were...
