He highly recommends the full series see = https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Umbrella_Academy_season_4 Yochanan reviewed the movie 'Casper' from 1995 as 'cute but uneven' but not really child friendly. It's worth seeing for the nostalgia value see = https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Casper_(film) and Yochanan also reviewed 'Tron: Aries' as an update of the series, using technology to bring the AI entities out into the real world. It used too much 'fancy shmansy' CGI & the AI used in the film's production got tedious. However the practical effects were excellent & really cool. Gillian Anderson was criminally underused & Jared Leto did a good job. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tron:_Ares and Yochanan reviewed 'BrightBurn', streaming on Prime, as it has some shocking body horror. He & his sister were highly entertained & worth full spooky season price. see = https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brightburn Craig reviewed the Netflix show 'Ragnarok' as he enjoyed it, but that it has weaknesses. He was surprised he enjoyed it as much as he did. It's fantasy, 3 seasons and highly recommended. There were some positive comments about the show see = https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ragnarok_(TV_series) and Craig also reviewed attending conventions. They went to the last OryCon ever & found it not as much fun as ArmadilloCon. He also went to Norwescon & says the hotel is in a green & foresty area & he enjoyed it. He highly recommends smaller, regional cons & says we should support them. see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Norwescon Gerald recommends MarsCon in March & says it has good science programming [see = https://marscon.org/about/]. Rick says he will be at the EasterCon in Britain this spring & plans to host a party then. [see - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eastercon] Gayle reviewed Clockwork Alchemy 2025 as they attended and she was highly entertained. Gerry was on the best Jules Verne panel he's ever been on & he says that Valerie Frankel hosted it very well. He commends the programming and was impressed by the panel on secret societies, their histories and why they exist. There was a lot of discussion, including Valerie commenting that she read 16 Verne books for the panel and considers that they were very similar to one another. She says the costuming at Clockwork Alchemy was excellent. She says there was a lot of sword fighting & she also enjoyed the panels there. There was even more discussion about good panels there. see = https://steampunkcons.com/event/25926/clockwork-alchemy-2025 we adjourned at = 8:43pm Rumor of the Week: 'Don't forget to set your clocks back to 1933 this Sunday' there were no auctions -- ******************* She/whispered/'Oh/my/goodness/what/are/all/these/squirrels/doing/here?'
