Some of you may have noticed that I had a bit of a cough on Monday. Don’t
worry, it’s not COVID, but something even more exciting: Hand Foot and Mouth
Disease.

Luckily, not everyone who gets infected has symptoms – which often start with a
mild fever (I didn’t), a poor appetite (a bit on Sunday), and a sore throat
(Sunday and Monday). In a day or two, blisters or sores may form in the mouth
(luckily not yet), on the hands (started yesterday) and feet (started Monday –
I just thought I had something in my socks!)

This illness is caused by a virus, not bacteria, so antibiotics won't help –
but i guess our COVID practices will (we got that coughing into our arms down
pretty good!)

Luckily it seems to be working through me pretty fast. The sores I had on my
feet yesterday have already subsided to the point that I can get up walk a bit
with little pain.

Hopefully you all are clear, and apologies if you have to go through this...

-Ken (who was hoping for just a seasonal crud, but got something else…)
