Hi Basket Heroes!
Today I made an update on my gentoo disto and, beeing a user of Basket, I
got the following message:
- kde-misc/basket-1.0.3.1 (masked by: package.mask)
/usr/portage/profiles/package.mask:
# Samuli Suominen <[email protected]> (28 Oct 2009)
# KDE3-only applications.
#
# Removed in 30 days.
#
# If you find a KDE4 replacement, please open a
# request at http://bugs.gentoo.org/
In short this means that Basket is no longer part of stable or unstable
packet repositories but are moved into experimenting as it is about to be
removed. As I understand, it will be removed November 28, 2009.
If you are close to some kind of kde4-deliverable by that time it is likely
that the package can remain. On the other hand, if it is removed it can be
added when you are close to release.
