I'm all for it. But I'd argue just not to request a move right now, as
everything is not quite ready yet [1].
KDE's whole Git infrastructure and ecosystem is at a very early stage. There
are currently two brave teams testing the whole setup "in production" (Amarok
and Konversation).
In contrast to Gitorious' (and for that matter GitHub's) approach of everything
in one application the future KDE infrastructure will be composed of an
integration of multiple systems (i.e. Git for version control [2], Redmine for
project management [3], ReviewBoard for code reviews/merge requests [4] and of
course Bugzilla for bug tracking [5]).
I have great faith in the abilities of the KDE admins and that their choice of
systems will allow for a nicely integrated and well designed work flows across
those systems. But despite all the confidence I see that it still needs a lot
of work and it is not yet suited for general adoption.
My suggestion is that we should discuss this issue and be prepared for a
possible move within 2-3 months time.
