Hello Batik Team,
(note) JMO (just my opinion and first observations)
some the observations hold more weight then others
I will try to keep this keep observations
to addess a few issue at a time.

First off ....great job getting Batik 1.1 out the door!!!
second off....Nice work on update of Web site!
-the new images look great....really friendly
and usable...
Third off....The Batik 1.1 spalsh graphic on the first page
of the xm..apache.org (http://xml.apache.org/batik/images/splash.png)
looks great.....but the alt tag states :
"Batik 1.1 is coming!" .....I think we can safely say it is here ;-)
(this mistake is in the distribution of Batik 1.1 too :-( )
Forth off....A simple mistake was repeated on each page
"If you downloaded the binary distribution of Batik, you should have gotten
a file called batik-1.0.zip"
this "should be":
"If you downloaded the binary distribution of Batik, you should have gotten
a file called batik-1.1.zip"
The pages that have this mistake are:

the distibution has the same mistake :-(...please change
I have "not submitted a bug report on this
