Yes, there has been a lot of work going on in supporting 
scripting. 

When we will do a release depends on what the team wants. We have
only done releases when all our regression tests are clear
and we have a few regressions right now (with color profile
support). 

This is the only strict requirement we have followed, so other
criterias are possible. 

Personnally, I think we are still very early in our scripting 
support implementation and I think we should do some more 
performance tuning and address some design issues which are 
not resolved yet. I would have also liked to make an architecture
document available and it is not ready yet. However, this is 
just my personnal preference and if people want a release before
that happens, that is fine with me. But I think we should
stick to our 'no-regression' rule of thumb.

In any event, I think we will be in a position to do a release
in a matter of a couple weeks at most.
