I think it would be very interesting to port Batik to the various J2ME profiles, especially with the goal of implementing SVG Tiny and SVG Basic. > I > know all of the Swing would have to be taken out, and I am sure many IO > operation would have to be rewritten. I think there is a lot to re-use in Batik. If nothing else, low level parsers are useful, but I think there is a lot more. > I guess my question is would it b > worth it to try to port it or would it be better to write a new one. > Also, where could I find an accurate state of the CVS version. About tests, I am not sure which tests you are refering to. If you are talking about the official SVG 1.0 test suite, the Batik scoring is on the following page: http://www.w3.org/Graphics/SVG/Test/BE-ImpStatus-20011026.html Otherwise, we pass the 600+ tests in our Batik test suite. I you are interested in working on SVG Basic/SVG Tiny for the J2ME environment and would like to contribute that work to the Batik project (which I hope :-), please contact me at: [EMAIL PROTECTED] and we'll talk about the contribution process.
