Hello, compiling the sources on linux:
1.5b1 1.5b2
jdk1.4.0 OK segfault
jdk1.3.1_03 OK OK
jikes 1.1.5 unknown issues
The latest sources appear to have found a compiler bug in
jdk1.4. The segfault is 100% reproducible -- unfortunately I
don't have anymore information about where/what is
segfaulting...
Just for fun, I added
<property name="build.compiler" value="jikes"/>
and tried compiling the 1.5b2 sources. Attached is the list of
warnings, cautions and ERRORS from the 1st pass at compiling the
sources. If compiled a 2nd time (without a clean of course) the
3 files with errors on the 1st pass are compiled without
problems.
