BTW, Thomas, the SVG 1.2 specification states at the top [1], "This document lists the changes from SVG 1.1. It is not a complete language description." So apparently, in order to implement SVG 1.2, you need to read and implement both the 1.1 and 1.2 specs. (XSL is different, because the 1.1 XSL spec incorporates the 1.0 spec.)
Do you know if the SVG WG is planning on merging the 1.1 and 1.2 specs into 1.2? It seems strange to keep a spec in two versions. But I'm probably missing something here.
