I just spent some time figuring out why upgrading to a recent CVS snapshot wrecked my application.

After a while I figured out that i downloaded batik-src-current.zip from http://apache.belnet.be/xml/batik/ thinking it was the 20.02.2005 while in fact it was 20.02.2004 .

If the mirrors stopped updating altogether, than it would be better to remove this batik-src-current.zip to prevent people thinking they just downloaded the cream of the crop of the Apache SVG rendering tools.

This is the last release 1.5.1. The nightly CVS dumps are not put in the release directory they are stored at:

   http://cvs.apache.org/builds/xml-batik/

What you got _is_ the cream of the stable crop. Which is why I'm
trying to sort out a final set of show-stopper bugs so I can make
a new release available. The current convention is so people can
provide stable URL's for the latest stable release of the package.
