As announced on the XML Graphics General mailing list I'd like to call for a vote on the migration of both Batik and FOP to Subversion.
+1 for me as well. I've started dabbling with it and while there are some annoyances there are also some advantages.

I hear good things about svn from my housemate, and if there's going to be an appropriate time to migrate, it should be just after the next Batik release, as you mention.
