What happens they introduce a 'lighter' ident? I think that until the value is computed it is appropriate to leave the ident's as idents. I don't have really strong feelings on this but I don't feel that there is a good case saying Batik is wrong to behave like this. Should you be able to ask 'font-weight: bold' for it's 'floatValue'?
