Jeff,
granted, it's a bit difficult sometimes to find out where to go with
problems on SVG/PDF. The SVG/PDF part is (unfortunately) still entirely
in FOP. So posting your SVG to the [email protected] list
would have been best. But about the same people also listen into the
Batik lists, so it doesn't matter so much (although
[email protected] is preferred for this).

Anyway, I'd like to ask you to retest your SVG with FOP 0.95 before we
chase down a ghost. If a bugfix is necessary, you're not likely to get
that for the 0.93 release branch but only in FOP Trunk (the dev branch).

BUT.....your description suggests that you're actually seeing a
anti-aliasing side-effect. Switch off "smooth line art" in Acrobat to
see if that's the case (Preferences dialog, "Page Display"). Also, in
print, such side-effects usually don't occur. So please also check that
it's not something like that.
