Berin and Donald, thank you both for taking the time to respond to Fred, I've
learned a lot from the exchange.  And thanks especially for the link below as it
addresses one of the things that I haven't been able to figure out.  It seems as
though it would be a good idea to add something addressing this issue to the
Cocoon or Batik FAQ, or at the least it seems like an Xserver should be added to
the list of system requirements for Batik ?
