Hi, Yes you most definately need to download the JRE 1.3 from Sun, http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.3/jre/, before you will get Batik to work in older versions of Netscape. From memory, the Java implementation that comes with versions 4.x is JRE 1.1.x, and Batik needs 1.3. Netscape 6.x comes with JRE1.3
You'll also need to run your HTML file through Sun's applet converter program that'll format it to work with 1.3 Applets. http://java.sun.com/products/plugin/1.3/docs/htmlconv.html And then as Danny said, you will then need to modify your standard security policy to allow the applet to access the local file system. hope that helps, Peter.
