Justin,

You are wrong saying you can do an SVG implementation over a generic 
DOM. I tried to explain it to you and the SVG Working Group chair
as well as Thomas DeWeese gave you further detailed explanations.

This will require that you understand a number of things about DOM, CSS
and the SVG specification, but Thomas did a great job at enlightening
the matter for you.
