Actually I am not really targetting for TrueType but for any viable desktop
font format so that I can use my generated SVG Fonts everywhere. So
PostScript Type 1 would do the job and because this much closer to text
files, I guess it is even easier. It is also easy to convert from PS1 to
TTF.
I am right now looking at my options. A good way could be to convert my SVG
font glyphs to PostScript paths (PFA/PFB) and add the necessary glue and AFM
file to have anything needed.
Hinting is not important for me. Kerning might be.

Things that come to my mind
- Is there any OS trying to integrate SVG font natively?
- Is there a recommended way of how to package a SVG Font?
- Is there a SVG Font repository of free fonts?
I going after this SVG Font to PostScript Type 1 thing. When I am
successful, I give you notice.
