Hi all
I have stumbled across FOP & Batik recently and am specifically interested
in converting SVG docs to PDF. I got very excited when I first came across
them and then heart broken when I realised that the end result of this
conversion is not really print ready (glyphs converted are to curves in the
process). After searching through the archives of a mailing list I found a
post saying that this issue was in the process of being addressed but that
it would not be ready for some time.
I have two questions:
Is anyone able to give a rough ETA on this fix?
Has anyone found a reasonable work around?

PS Sorry for the cross post but I am still a bit perplexed about whether
this is FOP or Batik related.
