Hi, Thomas and thanks for your time - it was worth it.
I think the problem is that you are not providing a viewbox (orI didn't knew the term "viewbox".
the viewbox provided is not the one you want). The viewbox attribute
on the outermost svg element says what portion of the infinately large
canvas should be rendered in the 'width' and 'height' provided.
I looked it up in anne.svg an put a similar text into my i1200x600.svg.
And --- it worked!
I'll pass that information to the JFreeChart people in order to enhance their produkt.
I call that "progress"! Thanks again.
