You running the MS JVM ??? Are you shure ?
Only the Sun JVM is modern enough to run Swing programs!
Under Linux you have the choise to use the blackdown-java-implementation.

Betreff: Error message when attempting to open squiggle

Hello all

I downloaded the binary distribution version of batik 1.5 and extracted the
.zip file using WinWip. When I double click the batik-squiggle.jar file, the
Squiggle splash screen appears and then its followed by an error window that
reads:

(begin error message)
SVG error:

access denied (java.io.filepermission \c:\Program
Files\SquiggleSVGviewer\batik-1.5\batik.squiggle.jar read)
(end error message)

I'm running a new Dell on Windows XP. I downloaded and installed the
MicroSoft Virtual Machine prior to attempting to open the batik-squiggle.jar
file.

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.
