Was there any change from Batik 1.5b5 to 1.5 release that would account for text looking "thinner" in the new version?
I've got some files that I have been using for months that suddenly look different.
It's not critical just now, but I'm trying to gather information before it becomes an issue.
There have been a few changes to how text is rendered. In particular
for text-rendering="optimizeLegability" on JDK 1.4 will use font-hinting
and non-anti-aliased text. There were also a few other more minor tweaks. Can you send example SVG and screen shots?
