SVGGEN: Font size problem

Greetings,
I'm having a problem with setting font sizes with SVGGraphics2d.  I'm getting in my svg file:

<g font-size="8" fill="...

and would like:

<g font-size="8pt" fill="...

any thoughts, comments, suggestions?
