Actually that isn't true. All elements in SVG have the fill presentation attribute that is mapped to the fill CSS property. It is very easy for some random bit of real CSS to override the value in the presentation attribute however, so sometimes moving it into the style attribute does help. > > <path id='scotts road2' altname='scotts road' d=' > > M3.4545454545454546,32.20000000000002 > > L21.636363636363637,56.80000000000001 > > L53.0,99.70000000000002 > > L72.54545454545455,125.8 > > L72.54545454545455,125.8 ' clip-path='url(#clip1)' /> This path is very close to a straight line (meaning it encloses almost area). Also the path has a fairly wide stroke: > > <use xlink:href='#scotts road2' altname='scotts road' fill='none' > > stroke='rgb(252,233,3)' stroke-width='3.5'/> So your stroke is covering up the gradient fill. If you turn off the stroke you can see the gradient fill working. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
