I had it in my head that I'd filed one, but looking through the bug database, I don't see one. I think I got caught up in confirming it was Batik and forgot.
Anyway, I found a similar bug and attached my test case to it. It's quite simple; calling cloneNode(...) on a Node that represents an <image> causes a NullPointerException. The bug number is 42032.
