Invoking
  java -jar /usr/local/src/batik-1.7/batik-rasterizer.jar -w 850 -h 500
triples.svg
on
  http://www.w3.org/2001/sw/hcls/notes/kb/triples.svg
yields
  http://www.w3.org/2001/sw/hcls/notes/kb/triples.png

batik-1.7/batik-squiggle.jar, Inkscape, and Firefox 3.0b5pre all render
the five pink circles as semi opaque, resulting in a discernible inter-
section between the circles labeled *bySequence:ncbi_gene.1812* and
*_:signalingParticipants_1* . Also, the labels on the lines are visible
only if their background is semi-opaque. Another example is
  http://mouni.local/2001/sw/hcls/notes/kb/slTriples.svg
which begets
  http://mouni.local/2001/sw/hcls/notes/kb/slTriples.png
and
  http://mouni.local/2001/sw/hcls/notes/kb/rule.svg
which begets
  http://mouni.local/2001/sw/hcls/notes/kb/rule.png

I need to publish in the next couple days so if anyone has a dev
version and replies with better pngs, I'll write your name in itty
bitty characters on the edge of one of the pictures.
